Sweet Heart Owls (Created by Lisa Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends! I am excited to share another one of my cards, using some stamps and SVG Files from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.

This is Sweet Heart Owls (TT038), Sweet Heart Owls SVG File-point 7 (TT038SVG), Tree Stump (TT039), Tree Stump SVG File-point 7 (TT039SVG), Owl Always Love You (HH020), and Owl Always Love You SVG Files-point 7 & 14 (HH020SVG).  Such adorable owls, and so easy to colour and cut too!

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Sweetheart Owls file and Tree Stump file on Xpress It cardstock.  The sentiment was also cut using both the point 7 (stamped sentiment portion) & 14 files (for layering the sentiment).  The image was then stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock.  Black embossing powder was applied then heated.  These images were coloured with Copic Markers.  After the image was all coloured and dry, Zig-Wink of Stella - Yellow and Red Glitter pens were used on the Owl's beak and feet and on the hearts for some added sparkle.

For the card base, I chose some SU Soft Sky cardstock.  White cardstock was used to punch a few clouds using a handheld punch.  The sentiment was stamped also using the Misti Stamping Tool, along with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder then heated.  The main images were both adhered to the card using glue dots.  The sentiment was mounted using foam tape to give some added dimension to this card.  To finish it off, Doodlebug-Washi Tape-Sweethearts was adhered on the left side of the card to coordinate with the hearts above the owls.  A Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen was used to cover the clouds.

Supplies Used:
InkCopic Markers - Colorless Blender 0, T1, T3, T7, E25, E31, E47, R27, YR15, Y08, 100. Versamark Ink Pad, Black & White Embossing Powder.

Happy Owl (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Hoot Hoot, it's Fab Friday!!!  Before sharing with you another adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection, be sure to stop by the High Hopes website and visit the Fab Fridays sale section!  There are some great deals going on there.  The link can be found here. Happy shopping!!!

This is Happy Owl (SS016), Happy Owl SVG File (SS016SVG), Celebration Balloons (SS013), Celebration Balloons SVG File (SS013SVG), Hoot Hoot Sentiment (FF014) and Hoot Hoot SVG Files (FF014SVG).  These little owls are just soooo cute and fun to use on any project! And there are lots of additional accessories to coordinate with these owls too - hoot! hoot!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the owl (point 7 file), celebration balloon (point 7 file) and the Hoot Hoot sentiment (point 7) on watercolour paper. I also cut the point 14 file for layering the Hoot Hoot sentiment as well.  I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were applied on the owl's beak and feet to add some shine and dimension.

I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock for the card base.  The background cardstock is from Tim Holtz called Distress Woodgrain.  I sponged some Gathered Twig Distress Ink on the Woodgrain cardstock to give it more of a tree appearance.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape on the upper half to make the owl appear like he is popping out of his tree hole.  Foam tape was also applied under the balloons and sentiment for some added dimension.  To complete this card, 4 black rhinestones were placed on the "o" parts of the sentiment and 3 beige rhinestones in the bottom left hand corner of the card.  Also, a piece of Doodlebug twine-bumblebee was tied in a small bow around the balloon strings.

This is Happy Owl (SS016), Dot Simple Happy Birthday Sentiment (F086) and coordinating Happy Owl SVG File (SS016SVG).  How adorable is this little guy???  And oh, so fun to colour too!

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Happy Owl file on Copic cardstock.  The image was then stamped with a Memento Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock.  This image was coloured with Copic Sketch Markers.  (Special thanks to our talented fellow divas - Karen D. and Natalie, for their incredible demonstration at Scrapfest last weekend!  I found it very interesting and a great learning experience using Copic Sketch Markers, especially when colouring this Happy Owl!)

For the card base, I chose some SU Smoky Slate cardstock.  The designer paper is from Fancy Pants-Making Waves 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some specialty paper/film called Vertigo-Tilted Texture (on the bottom half of this card).  The sentiment is not from the latest new release; however, it is a very nice and handy sentiment stamp to have.  The main image and sentiment were both adhered to the card using foam tape. To complete this card, a SU photo corner punch was used and the pieces were added on the top half of the card's corners.  A piece of Doodlebug-Gray twine was tied in a bow, under the main image and a bunch of small yellow and white Prima flowers were also included for some added embellishments.

With Deepest Sympathy (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  Well, another week has come and gone and I am back to share another fabulous image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.

This is With Deepest Sympathy (UU002).  This stamp is perfect beings it also includes the sentiment along with it.  This can be easily changed too, with a variety of other sentiments that High Hopes has available.  You may want to turn this card into a Thinking of You or Get Well Soon card, by not inking up this sentiment and using your Misti Stamping Tool to stamp a different one.

To start, I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  I decided on a piece of SU Night of Navy cardstock for the card base.  The designer paper is from Bo Bunny-Secret Garden Collection 6x6 paper pad.  A piece of SU Always Artichoke cardstock was used to layer the main image and a strip for under the ribbon.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape for some added dimension.  A white sheer ribbon was placed over the thin piece of Artichoke cardstock and a small bow was tied.  To complete this card, some pearls were added to the flower centres and a few on the ribbon.  It's always nice to have a few of these Sympathy cards made ahead, for those unfortunate times when you least expect it and need one quickly.

Supplies Used:

Puppy Love (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

It's finally Friday and  I am back to share another super adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.

This is Puppy Love (TT034), and coordinating Puppy Love SVG file (TT034-SVG).  Using these SVG files to cut out the stamped images is truly amazing...why not give it a try!

To start, I used the SVG file to cut out the main image on watercolour cardstock, using my Cricut machine.  Then, using the Misti Stamping Tool, I first stamped the image on a scrap piece of paper.  I used the outside of the cut piece to align my image, then inked up my stamp again and popped in the cut image piece I was going to stamp on to.  This helps to perfectly align your stamp on the cut cardstock. I used a Black Versafine Ink Pad to stamp the image then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.

To colour the image, I used Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Glossy Accents to the puppy's nose.  I just love a bit of shine and dimension on my cards.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Kraft cardstock.  The designer paper is from Bo Bunny-Happy Tails 6x6 paper pad.  The oval piece under the main image was die cut using a piece of the designer paper with MFT-Stitched Oval die.  The background designer paper was cut from another sheet in the Bo Bunny pad, but this time using a YNS-Stitched Rectangle die.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape for some added dimension.  To complete this card, some black hemp twine and a SU Button were added.

Supplies Used:
***Note: If you are in need of any products used here, please send Lora at OCS an email and I'm sure she would be happy to get the item(s) you are looking for.

Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, N25, 990, 947, 985, 055, 493, 476, 942, 800 and 850. Black Versafine Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.

Dribble Master (Created by Lisa Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

It's Day 2 of the New Release, and I am thrilled to share my card with you today using one of the new stamps.

This is Dribble Master (TT024).  What a fabulous image and so fun and easy to colour!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I trimmed the main image to a smaller size to fit this card.

There is no patterned paper used on this card.  I thought I would create my own background.  I used some SU Pumpkin Pie, Black and White cardstock for the card base.  To create the fence-like background, I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder called Chicken Wire.  I decided to use the debossed side and draw in the fencing with a white gel pen.  This created a fenced yard look that you may see some basketball being played in, at either the park or perhaps a school yard.  The image was adhered to the card using foam tape.  To complete this card, some Ranger-Liquid Pearls (silver pearl) were dashed on the black cardstock.  A few teal coloured YNS gumdrops were also included for some added dimension.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - 925, 969, 243, 942, 312, N65, 905, 761 and N95.  Versamark Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.

Paper - SU Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and White Cardstock.

Misc -  Ranger-Liquid Pearls(silver pearl), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder-Chicken Wire, YNS Gumdrops - Teal, White Gel Pen, Water Brush, Foam Tape and Glue Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!  And be sure to stop by again soon for more ideas and inspiration using the New Release Stamps!
