Penguin Giver (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  For today's post, I have a card showcasing a couple of new release stamps!  Don't forget to check below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Penguin Giver (TT044) and Loads of Wishes sentiment (HH030).  Such an adorable image on this card, to give to that special someone this Christmas!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it (white embossing powder on the sentiment).  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the bows of all the gifts and on the penguin's beak and feet.  Some Ranger Ice Stickles-Crystal Ice were applied on the fur of the penguin's hat for some added glitter.  You can never have enough sparkle on a Christmas card! LOL!

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella-Christmas Delivery 6x6 Paper Pad.  The frame of the main image was die cut using a MFT die called Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  A strip of snowflake ribbon was adhered along the bottom of the card.  To complete this card, the sentiment was popped up with foam tape for some added dimension, along with a small pompom for the penguin's hat (inspired by fellow design diva, Donna R.) and three YNS Gumdrops.

Here's a Christmas card to share with you today using a new release stamp, sentiment and even this month's sketch! Don't forget to check below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Penguin Crush (TT050) and Peace, Love Joy sentiment (JJ003).  I think this will make for a perfect Christmas card for my mom.  She has found a new friend in her life, so I wanted them to both enjoy this card.

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image and sentiment, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the bow of the hat, on the penguin's beak and feet, and on all the hearts on the sentiment. Some Star Dust Stickles were applied on the fur and pompoms of the hats for some added glitter.

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Wild Wasabi cardstock.  SU Real Red cardstock was used in behind the main image (and sentiment) to layer the piece of snow falling designer paper. The designer paper is from Doodlebug-Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 Paper Pad.  A strip of SU Real Red ribbon was used behind the penguins, in order to follow this month's sketch.  The frame of the main image was die cut using a MFT die called In & Out Diagonal Stitched Square. Some light sponging was then done to create the sky/clouds and snow/ice. A few snowflakes were also punched out and some sparkle (Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen) and some clear rhinestones were added to them.  To complete this card, the sentiment was popped up with foam tape for some added dimension.   I sure hope my Mom and her new friend like this card!

Chillin' Charlie Christmas Cow (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!  It's never too early to start those Christmas cards!  I figured I best start working on them, as the holiday season will be here before we know it.  Don't forget to check below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Chillin' Charlie Christmas Cow (TT049) and You & Your Herd sentiment (HH035).  I think this will make for a perfect Christmas card for my dad.  He is in midst of building a new dairy barn and since I come from a large family...the sentiment works in more ways than one! LOL!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the holly berries and leaves and on the cow's horns. Some Star Dust Stickles were applied on the fur and pompom of the hat for some added glitter.

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Real Red cardstock. The designer paper is from Bo Bunny-Merry & Bright 6x6 Paper Pad.  The frame behind the main image was die cut using a Spellbinders die called Holiday.  The sentiment was heat embossed using black embossing powder than popped up with foam tape for some added dimension. To complete this card, a mini Jingle Bell was glued over top of the cow's bell.  It's so fun to hear it jingle when the card is moved.

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Today, I have some news to share with you all... I have decided to step down from the Design Team for now, in order to pursue some other interests and schooling.  This has been a tough decision, but I do hope to occasionally stop by as a guest and share some of my creations when time allows for this.  I would like to thank Lora for being so supportive and motivating during my time on the team.  To the entire Design Team, it was a pleasure to meet and get to know you all.  I wish each of you all the best and hope to see more of your creativity in the future.  Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and part of this amazing team!

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock using my Misti Stamping Tool with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.  The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

Baby Hedgehog Bath (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  And for those lucky people attending ScrapFest in Richmond Hill, Ontario this weekend - I sure hope you all enjoy the show and get a chance to visit the OCS/High Hopes Stamps Booth!

Here is another card that I have created using some of the new stamps from the recent Baby Boom Release...

This is Baby Hedgehog Bath (SS021) and Ten Little Phrase sentiment (LL001).  Such an adorable image!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the hedgehog's nose, bath lather and bubbles.  A Wink of Stella-yellow glitter pen was added on the little towel to add some sparkle.  For the hedgehog's hair, Fun Flocks-dark chocolate was glued on.  This helped to make the little guy fuzzy!  The image was cut using a MFT Stitched Circle Die and also the same die was used to cut a piece of SU Chocolate Chip cardstock to layer it.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Chocolate Chip cardstock. SU Bashful Blue cardstock was cut for the background, then dry embossed using a Tim Holtz Bubbles Embossing Folder.  I used a white ink pad with a sponge dauber to colour the raised bubbles.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug-Snips & Snails 6x6 Paper Pad.  The sentiment phrase was heat embossed with Stampendous-Ice Blue embossing enamel. I just love the little bit of shimmer and shine this gives to the words.  A MFT Stitched Fishtail Flag die was used to cut the phrase and foam tape was applied to help make it pop out a bit and add some dimension.  To complete this card, a bunch of YNS gumdrops were added.

Supplies Used:

For the card base, I chose a piece of SU Certainly Celery cardstock.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella-It's A Boy and It's A Boy-Dots & Stripes 6x6 Paper Pads.  The white cardstock circle was die cut using a MFT Die-namics - Double Stitched Circle Die. No foam tape was used on this card, and kept relatively flat for mailing purposes. The sentiment was die cut using SU Certainly Celery cardstock, cut twice and layered for some added depth. To complete this card, a bunch of green enamel dots were added on the sentiment and beside the image.  Nuvo Crystal Drops-white were applied on the diaper for some more cuteness!

Swaddled Baby Girl (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

And the Baby Boom continues!  Oh my gosh...our family has grown in the past week, as I am thrilled to announce that I have become both an Aunt and Great Aunt!  This Baby Boom Release could not have been timed better! Congrats to both families and welcome baby Ryan and baby Olivia...

I have another card to share with you using a new image, new sentiment and also using this month's sketch design. Just a warning, using this sketch can become so fun that it's addictive!  Hope you can join in on the fun too (see below for more details).

This is Swaddled Baby Girl (RR005) and It's A Girl sentiment (HH025).  Such a sweet baby and the font of the sentiment with a couple of hearts is soooo cute!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, the image was cut using a Spellbinder Circle Die and Lacey Circle Die for layering it.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Certainly Celery cardstock and the layering piece is SU Pretty in Pink cardstock.  The designer paper is from Echo Park-Bundle of Joy New Addition 6x6 Paper Pad.  Foam tape was applied to the main image to help make it pop out a bit and add some dimension.  The sentiment was heat embossed with SU Gumball Green embossing powder.  To complete this card, a couple of mini pink diaper pins were adhered using glue dots and some Nuvo Crystal Drops-Apple Green were created in the shape of enamel dots (using wax paper).  Once these dots had dried, they were removed from the wax paper and glued on to the card using some Ranger-multi medium matte.
