Fragrant Blooms (Created by Lisa Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends! I hope everyone is enjoying some of this very hot weather we are finally getting here!

Today, I am thrilled to share another one of my cards using a stamp and SVG files from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection.

This is Fragrant Blooms (TT040) and Fragrant Blooms SVG file-point 7 & 14 (TT040SVG).  What a sweet image...and I am starting to think our flowers could use a drink too with all this warm and dry weather!

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Fragrant Blooms file on Xpress It cardstock.  The image was then stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock. The image was then coloured with Copic Markers.  After the image was all coloured and dry, a Zig-Wink of Stella yellow glitter pen was added to the centre of the flower and a Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen was applied on the flowers and butterfly for some sparkle.  A very tiny bit of Glossy Accents were used on the droplets of water(from the watering can) and on the little frog's eyes.

For the card base, I chose some SU Black cardstock.  The designer paper is from American Crafts-Journey 6x6 Paper Pad.  No foam tape was used on this card, so it will be fairly flat for mailing purposes.  The SVG File for Fragrant Blooms - size 14 (for layering) was also cut and adhered to the back of the image using black cardstock to "pop" the image a bit more.  To complete this card, SU Black Ribbon was added below the main image with a bow tied in the centre.  Some silver rhinestones were also applied on the photo corners and ribbon as well.

Supplies Used:
InkCopic Markers - G21, G46, R29, R32, RV14, E01, E25, E31, E79, T3, T5, B21, B23, Y08, 100 and 0 (colorless blender).  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

Paper - American Crafts-Journey 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Black Cardstock; Xpress It Cardstock.

MiscMisti Stamping Tool, Cricut Personal Cutter, Zig-Wing of Stella Yellow Glitter pen, Zig-Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen, SU Black Taffeta Ribbon, SU photo corner punch, Glossy Accents, Silver Rhinestones and Glue Dots.

For today's card, here is another one of my creations from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection...

This is Blinky Owl (SS014), Blinky Owl SVG Files (SS014SVG), Another Year Wiser (FF010) and Another Year Wiser SVG File (FF010SVG).  These owls are just the sweetest ever!  And there are lots of different ones to choose from...and even additional accessories to coordinate with them too!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the owl image (using the point 7 file for the stamped image) on watercolour paper. I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, some glossy accents were added to Blinky's beak and feet.  I just love this shine and bit of dimension!

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Basic Gray cardstock.  A YNS stitched rectangle die was used to cut the white layered piece. The designer papers are from Doodlebug-Hip Hip Hooray paper pack.  The coloured owl image was mounted on the SVG cut file (14-layering) using SU Crushed Curry cardstock, and then foam tape was applied to mount the main image on the card to add some dimension. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

To complete this card, a few YNS-white gumdrops were used on the top and bottom corners of the card, and a small piece of Doodlebug Twine-gray was tied above the sentiment designer paper to resemble the bow on a present.

I started by using my Cricut machine and cut the point 7 size of the SVG Miss Katie file on Xpress It cardstock.  The image was then stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool to ensure accuracy for the placement of the image inside the cut out portion of my cardstock. The sentiment was done using the same method as the image. The image was then coloured with Copic Markers.  After the image was all coloured and dry, a Zig-Wink of Stella yellow glitter pen was added to the bow on the little girl's dress and a Zig-Wink of Stella dark pink glitter pen was applied on the girl's hair bow and slippers for some sparkle.

For the card base, I chose some SU Taken with Teal cardstock.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye-Dorothy (Now & Then Collection) 6x6 Paper Pad.  No foam tape was used on this card, so it will be fairly flat for mailing purposes.  To complete this card, SU Whisper White Ribbon was added behind the main image, along with some Prima paper flowers with Liquid Pearls-Ballerina dotted in the centres, and on the top left and bottom right corners of the card.

Soccer Star (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Friday and for all of our Canadian friends - Happy Victoria Day Holiday Weekend!!! Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!

Oh, and it's also Fab Friday again too!!!  So don't forget to stop by the High Hopes website and visit the Fab Fridays sale section!  There are some great deals going on there.  The link can be found here. Happy shopping!!!

For today's card, here is an adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection...

This is Soccer Star (TT036) and Soccer Star SVG Files (TT036SVG).  How cute is this image?!?!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the Soccer Star image (using the point 7 file for the stamped image) on watercolour paper. I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, a Gelly Roll White Gel Pen was used to add some dimples on her cheeks.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock.  A 4 1/2" circle was cut for the card with a tiny bit of the fold left at the top, so the card would still open and close. To create the background, I took a piece of plain white cardstock and cut a circle using 4 1/4" in size (circle cutters) . Once the white circular cardstock was cut, I ran the piece through my Cuttlebug machine using an Embossing Folder called Honeycomb.  I flipped over the embossed piece and used a black sharpie marker to fill in the lines and some of the hexagon shapes to resemble an actual soccer ball.  The coloured Soccer Star image was mounted on the SVG cut file (14-layering) using the SU Smoky Slate cardstock, and then foam tape was applied to mount the main image on the card to add some dimension.

To complete this card, a piece of Doodlebug Goal Paper Pad-Soccer Field (grass), was punched using a Martha Stewart grass edger punch. These strips of grass were glued together and foam tape was applied on the back and placed a bit over the little girls feet to make it appear like she is playing on a soccer field.

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

For today's card, here is an oh so cute image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection...

This is Puppy Wonder (SS012), Puppy Wonder SVG File (SS012SVG), and Just Because sentiment (FF003).  Isn't this image just the sweetest ever??? I sure think so...

To start, I cut the SVG files for the Puppy Wonder image (using the point 7 file) on watercolour paper. I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were applied on the puppy's nose, bow and flower to add some shine and dimension.  Some Crushed Pineapple Stickles were also finely dotted on the butterfly's wings.

I decided on a piece of SU Brocade Blue cardstock for the card base.  The background paper is from BoBunny-Secret Garden Collection 6x6 Paper Pad.  I wanted to create an outdoor scene for this card, so I went with a YNS die called Wild Flowers and Grass Border.  This allowed me to pop out part of the main image and tuck the lower flower part behind the grass die cut, using foam tape on just parts of the image.  A MFT die called Sunny Skies was cut to create the sun.  I love the stitching on this die!  To complete this card, the sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder.  Also, Crushed Pineapple and Cotton Candy Stickles were dotted on the centres of the grass die cut flowers.
