Penguin Giver (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  For today's post, I have a card showcasing a couple of new release stamps!  Don't forget to check below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Penguin Giver (TT044) and Loads of Wishes sentiment (HH030).  Such an adorable image on this card, to give to that special someone this Christmas!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it (white embossing powder on the sentiment).  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the bows of all the gifts and on the penguin's beak and feet.  Some Ranger Ice Stickles-Crystal Ice were applied on the fur of the penguin's hat for some added glitter.  You can never have enough sparkle on a Christmas card! LOL!

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella-Christmas Delivery 6x6 Paper Pad.  The frame of the main image was die cut using a MFT die called Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  A strip of snowflake ribbon was adhered along the bottom of the card.  To complete this card, the sentiment was popped up with foam tape for some added dimension, along with a small pompom for the penguin's hat (inspired by fellow design diva, Donna R.) and three YNS Gumdrops.

Penguin Crush (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Here's a Christmas card to share with you today using a new release stamp, sentiment and even this month's sketch! Don't forget to check below for details, on how you could WIN some cute High Hopes Stamps of your very own!!!

This is Penguin Crush (TT050) and Peace, Love Joy sentiment (JJ003).  I think this will make for a perfect Christmas card for my mom.  She has found a new friend in her life, so I wanted them to both enjoy this card.

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and sentiment (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image and sentiment, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, glossy accents were applied on the bow of the hat, on the penguin's beak and feet, and on all the hearts on the sentiment. Some Star Dust Stickles were applied on the fur and pompoms of the hats for some added glitter.

For the card base and image layer, I decided on a piece of SU Wild Wasabi cardstock.  SU Real Red cardstock was used in behind the main image (and sentiment) to layer the piece of snow falling designer paper. The designer paper is from Doodlebug-Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 Paper Pad.  A strip of SU Real Red ribbon was used behind the penguins, in order to follow this month's sketch.  The frame of the main image was die cut using a MFT die called In & Out Diagonal Stitched Square. Some light sponging was then done to create the sky/clouds and snow/ice. A few snowflakes were also punched out and some sparkle (Zig-Wink of Stella clear glitter pen) and some clear rhinestones were added to them.  To complete this card, the sentiment was popped up with foam tape for some added dimension.   I sure hope my Mom and her new friend like this card!
