Tom's Plea (Created by Jane Z.)

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  Well, the summer is just flying by and before too long fall will be here.  Along with fall comes Thanksgiving.  Here is a fun card just for that occasion...

This is Tom's Plea (R201) and Happy Thanksgiving sentiment (G089).  This image makes me chuckle - poor Tom!  He does taste good at Thanksgiving dinner though...lol!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and background (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were added on Tom's beak.  Once this had dried, I proceeded to fussy cut the image.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the layering piece is SU Marine Mist cardstock.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug - Happy Harvest 6x6 Paper Pad.  Foam tape was applied to the main image to help make it pop out a bit and add some dimension to this card. A grass edger punch was used to create some grass for Tom to sit on.  The sentiment was stamped with versamark ink, and heat embossed with SU Tangerine Tango embossing powder.  Foam tape was also used to adhere the sentiment.  To complete this card, some paper flowers with pewter brads in the centres were added.   Hope this inspires you to start on some fall/Thanksgiving projects!
