For today's card, here is an adorable image from the New Release - Spring 2016 Collection...

This is Soccer Star (TT036) and Soccer Star SVG Files (TT036SVG).  How cute is this image?!?!

To start, I cut the SVG files for the Soccer Star image (using the point 7 file for the stamped image) on watercolour paper. I used a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, a Gelly Roll White Gel Pen was used to add some dimples on her cheeks.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Black cardstock.  A 4 1/2" circle was cut for the card with a tiny bit of the fold left at the top, so the card would still open and close. To create the background, I took a piece of plain white cardstock and cut a circle using 4 1/4" in size (circle cutters) . Once the white circular cardstock was cut, I ran the piece through my Cuttlebug machine using an Embossing Folder called Honeycomb.  I flipped over the embossed piece and used a black sharpie marker to fill in the lines and some of the hexagon shapes to resemble an actual soccer ball.  The coloured Soccer Star image was mounted on the SVG cut file (14-layering) using the SU Smoky Slate cardstock, and then foam tape was applied to mount the main image on the card to add some dimension.

To complete this card, a piece of Doodlebug Goal Paper Pad-Soccer Field (grass), was punched using a Martha Stewart grass edger punch. These strips of grass were glued together and foam tape was applied on the back and placed a bit over the little girls feet to make it appear like she is playing on a soccer field.
